Moving Update.

Getting busy in preparation for the big move, which is getting close. Lots of details to take care of, and shopping for a lot of new furniture, appliances, etc. We get possession on August 6th (a Friday), in theory the phones etc. get hooked up the Saturday, and then we (well, the movers) do the actual pack/move Monday/Tuesday. I've posted updated contact information.

Pauline just came back from a week or so in Edmonton visiting relatives, which had given me some time to catch up on my work (had been a bit interrupted with all the house hunting etc. earlier). Things continue to go really well: still lots of interest, good feedback, and sales have still been strong and growing steadily.

Wayne from w8nc (the marketing company that we're doing a bunch of work with related to ProjectForum) has started up a new blog, reflecting his interests in society, technology and culture. Knowing Wayne, this promises to be an eclectic and enlightening mix of goodies...

New CEO at Six Apart.

This is really great watching these guys evolve. They're doing some good product, seem to definitely have the right attitude, and have been very open about where things are at. Mena's article about the decision to bring in a new CEO was very thoughtful. It's not the right choice for every company of course, but for what they wanted to accomplish, it was a step that obviously needed to be taken. Good for them.

Found a House.

Phew, finished the paperwork yesterday for the house we ended up buying... I'd seen it at an open house a week and a half ago and then we checked it out over the weekend. Newly completed house by a custom builder that happened to suit us well. A bit more than we were hoping to spend but well within reason, and much nicer than other ones we were looking at, in a fantastic location. Should be moving mid-August.
